Birthday: Fayose Gives Strict Instructions on Burial After Death

Speaking in a six-minute video released on YouTube by City Edge TV on Saturday, Fayose, who marks his 65th birthday today stated that his body should be interred within four weeks of his death, regardless of when it occurs.

In the footage, the former governor stressed that death is unavoidable and disclosed that he had already prepared a letter formally notifying the incumbent governor about his wishes.

According to him, the state government should assume custody of his body at the appropriate time, with the four-week window provided to allow adequate preparation for his burial.

Fayose further instructed that his children must comply fully with whatever procedures or directives the government may issue at the time of his death, adding that they should wear their own clothes and not special garments.

On the location of his final resting place, he explained that he had chosen the home of his paternal grandmother, where a garden has already been prepared for his burial.

He concluded by appealing to family, friends and supporters to show him love while he is alive, saying that after he is laid to rest, no one should visit his graveside again.
