Nigerians Must Unite Against Corruption – EFCC Chairman

Speaking in Abuja over the weekend during a visit by officials of the Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC), led by Chris Olukolade, Olukoyede stressed the need for collective action in tackling corruption.

“Everybody says corruption is killing the country, but when we investigate and prosecute high-profile cases, the same people defend those involved. This does not show seriousness in the fight against corruption,” he said.

He emphasized that national development hinges on eliminating corruption and urged citizens to support anti-graft efforts.

Olukoyede reaffirmed the EFCC’s commitment to combating financial crimes within the law, pledging collaboration with CCC and other stakeholders to enhance public awareness on integrity and accountability.

Meanwhile, the EFCC recently dismissed 27 officers for misconduct and fraudulent activities
