FULL LIST: Tinubu Swears in Eight Permanent Secretaries, 18 RMAFC Commissioners

The swearing-in ceremony, held before the commencement of the meeting, was introduced by the Director of Media and Publicity at the State House, Mr. Abiodun Oladunjoye.

The newly sworn-in Permanent Secretaries include Onwusoro Ihemelandu (Abia), Ndiomu Philip (Bayelsa), Anuma Nlia (Ebonyi), Ogbodo Nnam (Enugu), Usman Aminu (Kebbi), Oyekunle Nwakuso (Rivers), Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna), and Kalba Usman (Gombe).

In addition, the President administered the oath of office to 18 newly appointed Federal Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC). These appointments are part of the 21-member team announced in August 2024, subject to Senate confirmation.

The newly sworn-in commissioners include Linda Oti (Abia), Akpan Effiong (Akwa Ibom), Enefe Ekene (Anambra), Prof. Steve Ugba (Benue), Chief Eyonsa (Cross River), Aruviere Egharhevwe (Delta), Nduka Awuregu (Ebonyi), Victor Eboigbe (Edo), Wumi Ogunlola (Ekiti), Ozo Obodougo (Enugu), Kabir Mashi (Katsina), Adamu Fanda (Kano), Dr. Kunle Wright (Lagos), Aliyu Abdulkadir (Nasarawa), Bako Shetima (Niger), Samuel Durojaye (Ogun), Nathaniel Adejutelegan (Ondo), Saad Ibrahim (Plateau), Modu-Aji Juluri (Yobe), Bello Garba (Zamfara), and Mohammed Usman (Gombe).

Also sworn in were Kayode Oladele as Commissioner for the Federal Character Commission and Victoria Iyatan as a member of the National Population Commission.

During the meeting, the Council observed a minute’s silence in honour of former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Lt. Gen. Jeremiah Useni, who passed away on January 23, 2025.

The FEC meeting resumed after a six-week recess, which was earlier announced by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris. The recess lasted from December 18, 2024, to January 6, 2025.
