Lucky Aiyedatiwa has been sworn in as the 7th Governor of Ondo State in a ceremony held at the Ondo State Sports Complex, Akure.
The event, which took place on Monday, saw the Deputy Governor, Olayide Adelami, take the oath of office first, followed by Aiyedatiwa at 12:59 pm.

The inauguration was attended by family members of the governor and his deputy, as well as several prominent figures, including: Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, Chief Bisi Akande and Chief Olusegun Osoba, former governors of Osun State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, former governor of Ondo State, Hon. Governor Grants Pardon to 43 Convicts
Ahead of the swearing-in, Governor Aiyedatiwa granted pardon to 43 convicts as part of his inauguration activities.
A statement by his spokesperson, Ebenezer Adeniyan, revealed that the pardon was based on recommendations from the State Advisory Council on the Prerogative of Mercy, led by Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Kayode Ajulo.
