MultiChoice Nigeria has announced a price adjustment for its DStv and GOtv packages, set to take effect from March 1, 2025.
In a statement sent to customers on Monday, the company attributed the hike to rising operational costs, including inflation and the depreciation of the naira.
The statement, titled “Price Adjustments for DStv and GOtv Packages,” reads in part: “Dear Customer, please note that effective 1 March 2025, there will be a price adjustment on all DStv packages. This is to enable us to continue offering world-class homegrown and international content, delivered through the best technology.”
This comes nearly a year after MultiChoice last reviewed its subscription rates.
With the new pricing, DStv Compact subscribers will now pay ₦19,000, up from ₦15,700, while Compact Plus will rise to ₦30,000. The Premium bouquet will now cost ₦44,500.
For GOtv users, the GOtv Jinja package will increase from ₦3,600 to ₦3,900, while GOtv Plus will move from ₦4,850 to ₦5,800. The GOtv Max package will now be ₦8,500, while Supa and Supa Plus will cost ₦11,400 and ₦16,800, respectively.
MultiChoice explained that the new rates reflect the economic realities in Nigeria and the cost of sustaining quality service delivery.
