Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has issued a stern warning to members of his cabinet, threatening immediate dismissal for any commissioner or special adviser who fails to follow official protocols during his engagements.
During an unscheduled visit to the Judiciary Village site in Uyo on Friday, the governor expressed frustration over the absence of key officials at state functions, labeling such conduct as insubordination.

Eno declared that he would no longer tolerate the lax attitude, emphasizing: “If I look for that commissioner and the commissioner is not there, the commissioner will lose his or her job right there and then.”
He also ordered the issuance of a memo mandating all commissioners to remain with him through any event until they reach his office or lodge. Governor Eno reminded his appointees that holding office is a full-time responsibility, not one to be taken lightly because of his humble demeanor.
“This is the last time I will say this publicly,” he warned.
