Controversial street-hop singer, Portable, has appealed to Grammy award-winning artiste Burna Boy for a music collaboration, saying he would have preferred a feature over the N20 million cash gift recently given to him.
The ‘Tony Montana’ crooner made the appeal over the weekend while speaking on social media, following his win in a celebrity boxing match against fellow entertainer, Speed Darlington — an event after which Burna Boy reportedly gifted him the sum.
While appreciating Burna Boy’s generosity, Portable expressed disappointment over the superstar’s lack of response to his attempts to reach out since the gesture.
“Shout out to Burna Boy. Some people want to wash my brain with advice. This man gingered my brain with N20 million,” Portable said in an Instagram video.
“However, the person who gave me N20 million has never replied to me on Instagram. I don’t have his number, and he doesn’t pick my calls.
“I chatted him up but got no response. Burna Boy, you gave me N20 million, but you didn’t reply to me. Give me a feature. Why are you stingy with replies?
“He isn’t following me on Instagram, but he gave me money. He is my helper, but a collaboration would mean more. That N20 million can finish in one day, but a feature will make me go viral.”
Portable has a history of seeking collaborations with top Nigerian artistes, often using social media to voice his desires and frustrations.
