
The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has appointed the Deputy President of the Ekiti State chapter of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Barrister Tajudeen Olutope Ahmed, as the 2025 Amir Hajj for Ekiti State.

The appointment was announced in a letter from the Ekiti State Government signed by the Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, Professor (Mrs) Habibat Adubiaro.
As the Amir Hajj, Barrister Ahmed is expected to lead pilgrims from Ekiti State to the holy land for Hajj and he is to serve as the State’s ambassador in Saudi Arabia throughout the Hajj period.
The Ekiti state contingent to Hajj is expected to depart to Saudi Arabia on the 14th May, 2025.
Barrister Tajudeen Ahmed, Esq. is one of the foremost leaders of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), having served as the former Chairman of the Owo branch of the Association.
