The South-West Coordinator of the Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement (GHSM), Alhaji Abass Olaniyi, has declared that the movement will deliver over three million votes for the presidential candidate of Accord Party, Dr Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, in the South-West in the 2027 general election.
Olaniyi said the projection was based on the movement’s internal assessment of its grassroots mobilisation prospects across the six states in the region.
According to him, Osun State is projected to contribute more than one million votes, while Lagos and Oyo States are expected to deliver a combined 1.5 million votes. He added that Ogun, Ondo and Ekiti States are expected to contribute the balance to reach the regional target of over three million votes.
He said Osun is expected to deliver over one million votes despite what he described as the disloyalty of Governor Ademola Adeleke to the party.
Olaniyi expressed confidence in the movement’s ability to expand its grassroots presence through sustained engagement with community leaders, youth groups, political stakeholders and local organisations across the South-West.
He noted that the projection places particular emphasis on Osun, where voters are expected to make independent choices in the presidential election, irrespective of political alignments involving state-level leaders.
According to him, GHSM will continue to intensify mobilisation efforts across the region to translate its grassroots structures into measurable electoral support for Olawepo-Hashim and the Accord Party as preparations for the 2027 general election gather momentum.
