President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 59th birthday, praising him as a loyal partner in Nigeria’s pursuit of growth and renewal.
In a statement on Monday, the President described Shettima as “my brother, co-traveller and Vice President,” noting that his courage, loyalty, and belief in Nigeria’s greatness have remained steadfast.

Tinubu commended Shettima’s service as former Governor of Borno State and Senator, stressing that he has always shown that leadership is about service and not privilege, even in difficult times.
The President said Shettima has continually justified his choice as deputy by strengthening the administration’s work, offering fresh perspectives, and driving key reforms in food security, investment, and global partnerships under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Our relationship transcends official duties. It is a bridge across regions and traditions, united in purpose and service,” Tinubu said, adding that Shettima’s example is worthy of emulation.
He wished the Vice President long life, renewed strength, and more years of impact.
