Popular Nigerian TikToker, Peller, has alleged that the Lagos State government is demanding N36 million from him as tax payment.
In a recent TikTok live session with singer Peruzzi, the 20-year-old content creator said officials from a government task force informed him of the tax bill, which he insists he cannot afford.

“The task force said I should pay N36 million in tax. I swear to Almighty Allah, I don’t have anything. I only came into the limelight last year,” he said.
Peller, whose real name is Habeeb Hamzat, argued that he does not earn income in Nigeria and has never received government support. He claimed that his earlier comments on TV suggesting he was making money from TikTok were “just packaging”.
Peruzzi, however, advised him to settle the tax to avoid legal action. “As a Nigerian, you’re supposed to pay tax. You can plead but you must pay your tax,” the singer said.
Peller is an online streamer with over 11 million TikTok followers, 477 million likes, and a YouTube channel with more than 332,000 subscribers. He is known for his sarcastic humour and relaxed style, often featuring celebrities such as Olamide, Peter ‘Mr P’ Okoye, and footballer Victor Boniface.
