The Chairman of the Ekiti State Environmental Protection Agency (EKSEPA), Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo has commended the State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji for prioritising the well-being of Ekiti people.

The commendation follows the approval for the dredging of waterways across the towns and communities in the State.

The Obalodo of Oye-Ekiti, while speaking at Ido-Ekiti during the inspection of the ongoing dredging site at the Alapo igo lane 5, said he was delighted with the level of job done .

In his word, “tthe total distance to be covered for dredging as approved by the governor is 3km instead of 2km. As at the end of today, we should have covered 1200m, all things being equal”.
Oguntoyinbo who stated that the approval of the dredging of waterways couldn’t have come at a better time than when the state is moving into rainy season, said all the jobs are through direct labour .
Recall that EKSEPA board members led by the chairman had earlier visited dredging of waterways in Ijemu and Inisa streets of Otun-Ekiti, where they affirmed that they’re impressed with the level of job done by the contractor handling the dredging of the waterways in the areas.
