The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Ekiti State, Dr. Wole Oluyede, will visit Efon-Alaaye on Tuesday, May 26, as part of his statewide campaign tour ahead of the June 20 governorship election.

Oluyede’s visit to the ancient town in Efon Local Government Area is aimed at mobilizing grassroots support for his candidacy, according to the Wole Oluyede Campaign Council. The trip forms part of his ongoing consultations and rallies across the state’s 16 local government areas.
PDP Chairman for Efon Local Government and Chairman of Ekiti PDP Chairmen, Aare Ajanaku Oluyemi, said the party was confident of growing support for the PDP in the area.
He assured Oluyede of strong backing from residents, stating that the people of Efon-Alaaye remained committed to delivering a decisive vote for the party in the election.
“Dr. Oluyede is a credible and visionary leader with the capacity to reposition Ekiti State through people-oriented policies, programmes, and inclusive governance,” Oluyemi said.
As part of the visit, Oluyede is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on the Alaaye of Efon Kingdom, HRM Oba Dr. Emmanuel Adesanya Aladejare, to seek royal blessings and traditional support ahead of the poll.
Party supporters and residents are expected to turn out to receive the candidate and his entourage. Party stakeholders said the visit would further strengthen the PDP’s grassroots mobilization efforts in Efon Local Government Area.
