Chartered engineer and founder of Tite Knox Pty Limited, Olaoluwa Dawodu, has commended the approval granted by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for the commencement of commercial operations at the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport, saying the development will drive commerce, tourism, and employment across the state.
Dawodu, in a statement issued on Saturday in Ado-Ekiti, described the approval as a “laudable milestone” that has positioned Ekiti for economic transformation and regional competitiveness.

He said, “Inter-state and eventual international access to the numerous economic potentials of a state can only be fully realised through safe and efficient air connectivity. This approval will not only enhance commerce and tourism but also stimulate job creation, improve access, and place Ekiti among states with viable air transport infrastructure.”
The Australia-based engineer noted that, like airports in developed countries, the Ekiti Agro-Allied Airport would contribute meaningfully to the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by facilitating trade, investment inflows, and agricultural exports.
“The Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport has the potential to become a strategic economic gateway for the state, serving as a catalyst for agricultural exports, industrial growth, and foreign investment,” he said.
Dawodu also praised Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his “visionary leadership and commitment to sustainable infrastructure development,” urging Ekiti indigenes at home and in the diaspora to support the administration’s efforts.
He said, “Now is the time for Ekiti sons and daughters to return home, invest, and contribute to the growth of our beloved state as it opens a new chapter of connectivity and prosperity.”
