The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 93 suspected internet fraudsters in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
They were picked up during a sting operation at the Green Legacy Hotel, located within the premises of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, on Sunday.
EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, said in a statement in Abuja that the operation followed credible intelligence linking the suspects to internet-related offences.
According to him, 18 vehicles and several mobile devices were recovered from the suspects during the raid.
He added that the suspects would be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.
