The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of petrol across Nigeria, bringing relief to motorists battling high fuel costs.
In a statement released on Thursday via its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the refinery said petrol will now be sold between N875 and N905 per litre, depending on the region.

The new pricing applies to all major fuel marketers affiliated with the refinery, including MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy.
Under the new structure:
Lagos residents will pay N875 per litre (down from N890),
South-West: N885,
North-West and Central: N895,
North-East, South-South, and South-East: N905 (down from N920).
The refinery advised Nigerians to patronise only authorised outlets and report any stations selling above the approved rates.
“Our products are refined for superior engine performance and are environmentally friendly,” the company noted.
Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Mr. Anthony Chiejina, stated that the price cut is part of Dangote Refinery’s commitment to stabilising the economy and easing the pressure on Nigerians.
“This move reflects our resolve to support the Nigerian economy and reduce the hardship caused by high energy costs,” he said.
