Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, has revealed that his conversion from Christianity to Islam was part of his quest for spiritual enlightenment and a deeper understanding of life.
In a recent interview with streamer Playboymax, the Afro-fusion artiste said his exploration of different religions had only left him more confused about the true nature of existence.
“Growing up, I was a Christian and then I converted to Islam. It’s like I’ve studied it all, but I’m still out here trying to find out what is really going on, you know? The more I research, the more confused I get,” he said.
The City Boys crooner added that his spiritual journey remained ongoing, stressing that he continued to seek personal truth and understanding beyond the confines of organised religion.
