The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has assured 2023 Batch ‘B’ Stream I corps members of prospect of success and personal growth in the state.
The Governor who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Youth and Sport, Barr. Bamidele Arowosola, gave this assurance at the swearing-in cermomy of the 2023 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Corps Members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ise-Orun/Emure Ekiti State.
Delivering his address, the Governor appreciated the collective roles of Corps members at state and national levels, as he highlighted their efforts during election and teaching duties.
He equally eulogised them for being combatants of malaria, HIV/AIDS scourge, drug abuse, human trafficking, corruption and illiteracy through their constant campaigns and sensitizations. He therefore enjoined the newly sworn-in corps members to see the service year as a call for dedication, perseverance, humility and service to humanity.
Oyebanji further implored the Corps members to maximise their service year and devote time to self-development and acquire profitable skills through the SAED programme.
Also, the State Coordinator NYSC Ekiti State, Alhaji Riko. Abdullahi Shuaibu while delivering his welcome address charged the Corps members to replicate and surpass the achievements of their predecessors and leave positive remarkable landmarks in Ekiti State through selfless and active participation in developmental activities.
Speaking further, he warned them against indulging in social vices such as cultism, gambling, drunkenness and other immoral acts.
The State Coordinator, also urged the Corps members to feel at ease in Ekiti, tasking them to be committed to the goals and objectives of the NYSC which is primarily to unify Nigerians.
