A Commissioner-designate in Ekiti State and former Senior Legislative Assistant in the National Assembly, Hon. Adesola Gold Adedayo, has congratulated Pa Ezekiel Olukunle Oyebanji on his 90th birthday celebration, saying his lofty contributions to education sector has made him a blessing to Ekiti.
Adedayo said Pa Oyebanji, who is Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s father, had demonstrated glowing penchant for hard work, honesty and prudency that laid a rocky foundation for his success despite emerging from a poor and financially disadvantaged background.
The Osun -Ekiti born politician added that Pa Oyebanji’s stickler for rules posture, coupled with imbibement of spartan self principle, made it possible for him to raise a God- fearing scion like Governor Oyebanji, who has been doing Ekiti proud in all spheres since assumption of office.
The Commissioner-nominee, said this on Friday, in his tribute to Pa Oyebanji who clocks 90 on Saturday, 15th July, 2023.
According to Adedayo, Pa Oyebanji in his years projected the core values of excellence, hard work and integrity for which Ekiti people are known.
He stated that Pa Oyebanji positively influenced the lives of many people as a teacher and contributed hugely to the growth and development of education sector, thereby making him a role model to many illustrious and successful citizens.
Adedayo commended the celebrant for being a blessing to Nigeria by offering impressive service as a school Administrator during his 35 years in service as a teacher and Principal.
He said available records vividly indicated that Pa Oyebanji did exceedingly well in all his duty posts as a teacher in the defunct Western Region, Old Ondo State and Ekiti, where he retired after decades of meritorious service.
The All Progressives Chieftain lauded the nonagenarian’s contributions to his Ikogosi hometown by working assiduously to project image of the town beyond the shores of Ekiti.
“Pa Ezekiel Olukunle Oyebanji has a record that appeals to every right thinking Ekiti man while in service. He has by every standard poses as a good father, confidant and mentor to his children, in fact, I am very proud of his achievements in all facets.
“Ekiti is savouring his disciplined, prudent and simple lifestyle because all these virtues had been inculcated into his son, who is currently the Ekiti State Governor.
“Little wonder, all the citizens, regardless of religious, ethnic and political affiliations are pleased with the leadership style of Governor Oyebanji. His being a good and dependable leader was a product of good and disciplined background.
“Without sounding exaggerrative, Pa Oyebanji’s 90 years on earth has been replete with benefits to whoever crosses his path. He remains a mentor and builder of great men and women.
“Baba is a respectable father figure not only to his children, Ikogosi countryhome, but to the entire Ekiti citizens as a result of his impressive past. We are thankful to providence for allowing you to be alive to witness this deserved celebration.
