More ward executive officers have been inaugurated for the Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council,GICC, in Ekiti State for the 2023 general elections.
State Coordinator of the campaign mobilization body, Prince Akintade Olayisade, during the inauguration at Ikere local government and other council areas condemned criticisms thrown at the APC presidential candidate by those he described as being threatened by Tinubu’s political wherewithal and his commitment to an egalitarian society.
He said the forthcoming presidential election is all about Nigeria and Nigerians as he enjoined them to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Noting that the only way to bring about the better changes they have been yearning for is through the victory of the APC candidate in the election.
The State Coordinator pleaded with those that are yet to collect their Permanent Voter Card to go and collect it to enable them exercise their franchise. He admonished the gathering to always propagate the need to vote for Tinubu.
“Tinubu is here to set everything rightly and the nation shall rejoice. If Tinubu could make Lagos State the 5th Largest economy in Africa, there’s no point doubting his ability to make Nigeria the 5th largest economy in the world, though it may seem unfeasible but it’s not impossible because it’s quite achievable going by the pedigrees of our candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu”. Said Olayisade.
In a separate reaction, the Party Chairman in Ikere-Ekiti, Hon.Ebenezer Oyebode assured Prince Olayisade and other members of GICC that the entire votes in their areas will be given to the APC presidential standard flag-bearer. While the Women Leader of the party in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government, Chief Mrs. Aanu Elegbeleye, said the ward Coordinators must see the assignment given to them as theirs, saying there’s need to have a door-to-door campaign that will convey the goodwill of Tinubu.
The ward excos in Ikere, Irepodun/Ifelodun and Ekiti South West local government areas had earlier been inaugurated. While that of Ado, Ise/Orun and Emure local governments holds Monday next week.
