President Bola Tinubu has ordered a thorough investigation into the tanker explosion that caused multiple accidents and loss of lives in Karu, Abuja, on Wednesday night.
In a statement on Thursday, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu condoled with the families of victims and directed that the injured receive priority treatment in medical facilities.
The President also instructed security agencies, especially road safety officials, to enhance traffic monitoring at the capital city’s entry and exit points.
He prayed for the souls of the departed and asked for divine comfort for the bereaved families.
