President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Idris Olorunnimbe as the Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Board.
A statement by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga on Monday confirmed the appointment.
Olorunnimbe, a former board member of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), previously chaired the Stakeholder and Governance Committees, where he played a key role in youth employment and entrepreneurship initiatives.
Tinubu also appointed Rasaq Olajuwon from the South-West as UBEC Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical) and Tunde Ajibulu from the North-Central as Deputy Executive Secretary (Services).
In a related development, the president named Dr. Mohammed Aminu as the new Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).
