PS Charges Staff On Commitment To Duties In Ekiti

Staff of Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) have been charged to put in their best, leverage on things to get done properly while discharging their official duties.

The Permanent Secretary, TESCOM, Mr Michael Omolayo gave the charge at the weekly Assembly meeting with staff in Ado Ekiti.

Omolayo disclosed that Identity Cards have been issued to all TESCOM members of staff as well as the personnel of TSC  in all public secondary schools and instructed that every staff must always wear it for easy identification on their job.

He explained that one must value his job and guide it jealously as there are many jobless people out there, stressing the benefits of wearing the ID cards always to include avoiding embarrassment, having

sense of belonging at the place of work, cautioning of oneself against bad behaviours outside like Corporate Organizations do. He equally advised the staff not to be deviant to the Constituted Authorities in anyway, noting that 2023 is a year to recover lost grounds and break new ones.

TSC boss charged members to pay attention to details in the discharge of their official duties and maximize all opportunities that comes their ways. Showing good examples to others while presenting yourself well anywhere at all times and being more alive to your responsibilities and reciprocate government’s kind gesture are expected of all of you this year’. PS said.

Statement by the Chief Information Officer of Tescom in Ekiti, Princess Ajayi says, Mr Omolayo admonished members especially the Head of Departments to always lead by examples, knowing and doing individual mandate and

schedule at work accordingly, having proper plans and what to achieve in every quarter of the new year, noting that TSC responsibility is to ensure teachers are available in all schools.

He commended the State government for the recently concluded teachers recruitment to fill the vacant positions noting that approval of  induction workshop is in the pipeline.

Earlier in his sermon, a member of staff Mr. Ayodeji Attah who took his message from Daniel 9:2 lsaid, that it’s necessary to study and meditate on the word of God for guidance throughout the year as everyone will give.Me account of his deeds on earth on the last day.

Attah admonished members to walk closely with God and have His fear while discharging their duties in the new year.
