A Lagos-based musician of Ilorin origin, Mukaila Senwele, widely known for his iconic phrase, “Koni Da Fun Ebo To Se Costay,” has passed away.
According to a family source, the renowned entertainer died on Friday night.
Senwele, who hailed from Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State, was celebrated for his captivating performances and unique style, which endeared him to socialites and fans across the country.
Speaking to reporters, a family member revealed that the artist showed no signs of illness before his sudden demise.
“There was no indication that he was unwell. He spent the day with his fans and even promised to visit the family house (Ile Esinrogunjo) later in the evening,” the source said.
It was reported that the family received an urgent call from the location where Senwele was staying with some fans.
“By the time my elder brother (name withheld) and others arrived, they tried to rush him to the hospital, but we sadly lost him,” the source added.
The late Mukaila Senwele will be laid to rest on Saturday morning.
