Oyo Housing FC In High Spirit Ahead Of NLO Youth League Playoff

The Team Manager of Housing Corporations Football Club, Mr. Okesiji Abiola has assured of a better outing of the traditional side ahead of the Nation-Wide League One now known as NLO Youths League which kicks off along many designations centers across the country on Wednesday 12th July 2023.

The technical crew of Oyo Housing led by Coach Sanusi Musiliu Kolawole popularly known as Ilerika according to Okesiji has given high optimism on behalf of his boys to do the State proud and qualify from the Osogbo zone that have 11 teams. 

Housing Corp FC that is the only team from Oyo State is grouped in ‘D’ with venue at Osogbo Township Stadium Osun State are Karamba FC, Ijesha United FC, Ijesha Golden Warrior FC, Fortune FC and Alaska FC all from Osun State, while Big Stars FC, House of Prayers Football Academy, Musty FC, Injectors FC and Dohz Sports Academy all from Kwara State.

The participation in the Nation-Wide League One which is now Nigeria youth League according to guidelines issued by the management team of the NLO Youths League, signed by Olushola Ogunnowo, the Chief Operating Officer of NLO is restricted to players of age 19 years, which means only players born from January 2004 above are eligible to participate.

“All thanks to the Patron of the team and the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Lawal who spearheaded the resuscitation of the traditional Housing Corporations Football Club in 2021 and has since been ensuring that the boys are well motivated with good incentives especially ahead of the this NLO Youth League playoff”.

“The Coach combed the nooks and crannies of the state to assemble the under-19 boys for the team and considering the good preparations giving the boys ahead of the playoff, I can assure the football lovers of a place in the NLO division one from the Osogbo Centre”, said Okesiji.
