OSUN LG ELECTIONS: YPP Calls For Active Participation Of Youths       … urges them to shun violent protest

In a statement made available to journalists, the Chairman stated that the party has embarked on a mission to mobilize and empower the youth to participate actively in the political process.

The statement further says that the party will continue to organize  various programmes to create awareness among the youth about the importance of their participation in local governance. Just as it also enjoined them not to join the  national protest which started in some parts of the country today.

“The party will make a concerted effort to field young candidates for various positions in the local government elections. By doing so, the YPP aims to bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to local governance, reflecting the aspirations and needs of the younger generation.

“The YPP will also collaborate with various youth organizations and civil society groups to amplify their outreach efforts. These partnerships will help in mobilizing a larger number of younger people and fostering a collaborative approach to address common issues.

“The Young Progressives Party hopes to create a lasting impact on the political landscape of Osun State by ensuring that the voices of young people are heard and that their contributions are recognized in shaping the future of the state.” The statement reads.

The Chairman therefore urged the electoral umpire which is OSSIEC to conduct free, fair and credible election to bring dividend of democracy to the people at the grassroot.
