Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has received commendations for appointing a highly competent individual as the Director General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Civic Orientation and Citizenship.
The State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr. Akinola Adeyemi gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Director General’s office in Ado Ekiti.
The NOA boss, accompanied by a delegation from the agency, expressed their appreciation to Governor Oyebanji for his astute decision in selecting a capable leader for the Bureau. They commended the Governor for recognizing the importance of civic orientation and citizenship in the development of Ekiti State.
Mr Adeyemi highlighted the significance of the appointment in promoting good governance, citizen engagement, and the overall development of the state. He praised the Director General’s competence, experience, and dedication to public service, expressing confidence in her ability to lead the Bureau effectively.
The State Director also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the NOA and the Bureau of Civic Orientation and Citizenship in advancing civic education and active citizenship in Ekiti State. He assured the Director General of the agency’s support and commitment to working closely with her in achieving their shared objectives.
In response, the Director General, Mrs Olawumi Famuyiwa expressed her gratitude for the commendation and the support of the National Orientation Agency. She acknowledged the importance of collaboration between the two organizations in promoting civic education and fostering a culture of active citizenship among the residents of Ekiti State.
Furthermore, the Director General reiterated her commitment to the responsibilities entrusted to her and outlined her vision for the Bureau.
