NAGGMDP Hails Gov Oyebanji’s Giant Strides On Health Insurance Scheme        …solicits inclusive insurance coverage for PWDs

The President of the association, Dr Sofri Peterside made the commendation on Friday at the National Executive Council meeting held in Ado-Ekiti with the theme: “Inclusive Insurance Coverage for the most vulnerable, the Nigerian perspective”.

He noted that Oyebanji’s immense support to the health sector in the state has made life easier for the vulnerable, saying, “Health insurance is a must at the moment. We applaud the state government for queuing in the health insurance scheme.”

In his response, Oyebanji, represented by the state’s commissioner for health, Filani Oyebanji reiterated his commitment towards delivering good healthcare services for Ekiti people.

He added that Oyebanji’s administration has extended an olive branch to health sector, hence his commitment to creating an enabling environment for Doctors in the state.

“Governor Biodun Oyebanji will deliver good healthcare service to the people of Ekiti state.

“He has you in mind and he is ready to do anything for your welfare.” Filani said

In his speech, the Ekiti state chairman of NAGGMDP, Dr. Alo Akinleye also commended Oyebanji for raising the standard of healthcare delivery to Ekiti citizens by becoming the first governor in the country to implement new salary structure for doctors in Nigeria.

Also, the NMA Chairman in Ekiti state, Dr Babatunde Rosiji hailed the association for bringing the NEC meeting to Ekiti state and enjoined members to embrace peace and harmony for the sanity of the society.

However, the association called for inclusive insurance coverage for Persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the state so that they can be involved in every government activities.
