In a bid to boost the security architecture of his jurisdiction, HRH Olatunde Iginni JP has donated a patrol vehicle to the Odogbo-Ijesa community Police Post, located in the Atakumosa East local government area of Osun State.

Recall that the former Assistant Inspector General of Police, in-charge of zone 11 AIG Sikiru Kayode Akande, commissioned the Police post on Wednesday 24th May 2023 in order to better secure the community and improve its security situation.

While receiving the vehicle from the representatives of the donor, Alhaji Gani Akodu from Esiran family, the Officer in-Charge of the Odogbo Ijesa Post Police Post, ASP Ayoola Adeyiga Solomon thanked Oba Oginni the MOJEJO 1 for his concern and care for the welfare of the officers and men of the Nigerian Police Force working in the Police Post.

He however promised to make good use of the operational vehicle, saying the car will go a long way in helping them to better secure the jurisdiction adding that their objective is keeping the people safe, enforcing laws, making sure the community is secured and forming good relations among police and community members.

Speaking in the same vein the donor through his representative urged the Police authority to consider turning the Police post to a Police division saying the community is capable of handling a Police division, “and I can assure the authority of good welfare of all the men posted there.”
