Federal Poly Ado-Ekiti Image-maker Becomes NIPR Fellow

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the body that licenses and regulates the practice of public relations in Nigeria inducted the immediate past Ekiti State Chapter Chairman, Prince Sunday Adelabu ADEYEMI-ADEJOLU, about 80 others as new Fellows of the Institute.

Adeyemi-Adejolu, who is also the Director in the Directorate of Protocol, Information and Public Relations at The Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, was decorated with the NIPR Fellowship medallion along with others by the Institute’s President, Mallam Mukhtar Zubair SIRAJO at a very colourful NIPR 2021 AGM ceremony held at the International Conference Center, Abuja.

A news release by the Secretary,Ekiti State Chapter of the NIPR, Mr Kayode Adebusuyi says the Governing Council of the Institute, had at a meeting chaired by the NIPR President approved the recommendations of some Full Members and about 80 new Fellow-designates, who were successful in the upgrading process.

The NIPR Fellowship Induction and decoration ceremony held Wednesday, 24th August, 2022 at the International Conference Center in Abuja, to round up the two-day NIPR backed Citizens Summit on National Integration, Peace and Security.

The about 80 new NIPR Fellows inducted by the Institute included many Technocrats, statesmen and women across public and private sectors, university dons, present and former commissioners across Nigeria, some men of the Armed Forces and former Police spokesman, CP Frank Emeka Mba among others.

With the induction as a Fellow of the Institute, Adeyemi-Adejolu becomes the third NIPR Fellows from Ekiti State, after Aare Afe Babalola who was appointed and inducted as an Honorary Fellow in 2016 and Chief Femi Ajayi, who also in 2016 became the first NIPR professional Fellow in Ekiti State.

Adeyemi-Adejolu, a trained teacher and Journalist,about three decades ago joined the NIPR in Akure, Ondo State, and was inducted as an Associate (anipr) in 1995. He later upgraded to a Full Membership of the NIPR (mnipr)in 2012, before his elevation as a Fellow (fnipr) in 2022 after scaling through the NIPR Fellowship Upgrading Process.

A 1987 graduate of the University of Lagos, Adeyemi-Adejolu, among other qualifications holds an M.Sc degree in Personnel Psychology from the former University of Ado Ekiti, now Ekiti State University.

Apart from professional training at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and the International Institute of Journalism, Adeyemi-Adejolu is also a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration FCAI and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management with other professional badges.
