EKITI SUPPLEMENTARY ELECTION: CP Assures Residents Of Adequate Security

In view of the supplementary election of Ido Constituency 1, in Ido – Ekiti, Ekiti State, slated for Saturday, April 15th, 2023, the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, CP Dare Ogundare, has informed the good people of the State, especially residents of the Constituency, that the Command, has deployed adequate human and material resources to the Constituency where election is to be conducted in order to ensure a hitch-free election.

The Commissioner, while noting that the Police is working with other relevant security agencies to provide adequate security before, during and after the election, implores eligible voters to go out enmass to exercise their franchise without any form of apprehension.

In order to ensure public order management, prevent hoodlums and criminally-minded elements from distrusting the electoral process and ensure the safety of the electorates, the CP has ordered the restriction of vehicular movements within Ido-Ekiti, Constituency 1, where the election is to be held from 12am to 6pm on election day with the exception of those on essential services such as INEC Officials, Electoral Observers, Ambulances responding to medical emergencies, Fire Fighters, etc.
