Ekiti Speaker, Aribasoye Restates Signifance Of Council Election, Expresses Satisfaction With Conduct Of Poll

Aribasoye in a chat with journalists after voting at unit 003, ward 8, Ayedun-Ekiti in Ikole local government area reechoed that LG poll is very critical to voters.

Statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the Speaker, Babajide Agbeyo, says the Speaker who highlighted the importance of local council election said it remained the only platform that actually leads to real grassroots development. 

Rt. Hon. Aribasoye described the turnout in his unit as applaudable adding that any apathy noticed at any location would not automatically translate to loss of confidence in the system. 

‘As you can see in my own unit, 003, people have really been mobilized to exercise their franchise in this all important election. There may have been some cases of apathy in some areas but this does not translate to people losing confidence in government. 

Aribasoye described the present administration in the state as forward looking, masses driven and development inclined.

‘It is a know fact today that we run a people’s government in Ekiti both at the executive and legislative arms.  It has been responsible and responsive government’. Aribasoye affirmed.
