Ekiti Govt Directs Site Engineers To Submit Weekly Progress Reports On Ongoing Road Projects

Mr. Adebayo who spoke through the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Titilope Ganiyu during an inspection tour of the ongoing Omisanjana-Ajebandele road project in Ado Ekiti, said that the directive was to ensure proper monitoring of ongoing projects.

Stressing that Government must get value for money spent, the Commissioner warned that any contractor that did not work in concurrence with specifications would be sanctioned adding that any deviation from contractual agreement is at the risk of facing prosecution.

The Contractors handling the Omisanjana-Ajebandele road project who responded on behalf of his colleagues promised to stick with the conditions stipulated in the contractual agreement and pledged to deliver good quality and timely job.

One of the residents of the Ajibandele area, Mr. Ojo Samuel expressed gratitude to the State Government for efforts at developing the area, noting that the road would improve socio-economic activities of the area.
