Ekiti CP, Eribo Restates Commitment To Combating Crimes As He Visits Journalists

The Commisioner gave the assurance on Wednesday during the Journalists’ first monthly congress of the year, held at the NUJ  Secretariat Ado-Ekiti, the State capital. 

Eribo who solicited a robust synergy between Police and members of the pen profession likened the two professions as siamese twins that cannot be separated from each other in terms of public services. 

“I am here to work cordially with you, I pledge my own loyalty, I am here to work for you, nobody has the monopoly of everything, let us continue to work together and ensure a crime-free society in Ekiti State.

“I urge you to continue the good stories you have been writing to project the good image of our society and the police”. Said the CP.

Earlier in his welcome address,  the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ekiti State Council, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi, stated that the visit was a build up to what he called existing robust relationship between the Journalists and the police in the State.

Babatuyi maintained that the good relationship that has been existing between the two professional bodies will be sustained.
