Eid-El-Kabir 2023: APC Chieftain, Tope Ogunleye Felicitates Muslim Faithful

As Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, An APC Chieftain, Arch Temitope Ogunleye, has felicitated will all Muslims across the State and Nigeria at large on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.

Eid-el-Kabir is very significant in the life of every Muslim due to the virtues and values that it conveys. The celebration of Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of the loving provision and sacrifice of Almighty Allah, which has continued to sustain humanity”.

In a telephone interview with  Funmilayo Lawal, on Wednesday in Ado Ekiti, Ogunleye expressed his joy at the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, which he described as a time for reflection, sacrifice and love.

He encouraged the Muslim faithful to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice and love that is associated with the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.

“As we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival, I urge all Muslims to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, love, and unity, which the festival represents. Let us show love and kindness to one another, especially to the less privileged in the society.

“The Salah celebration offers a unique opportunity for harmonisation of positions in national interest. It is equally a moment to appreciate and celebrate with one another, as a people bounded in love and unity”. Ogunleye explained.

He also called on Muslims to use the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to pray for peace, unity, and progress of the country. 

Noting that this has become imperative, he urged Nigerians not to give up on the country, but to renew their zeal in working towards building a new and more productive nation for all.

He noted that the country is currently facing a lot of challenges and that it is only through prayers and collective efforts that these challenges can be overcome.

The renowned politician also implored believers to continue to promote national unity, peaceful co-existence for stability in order to enhance growth and development in all sectors of the nation. 

Ogunleye concluded his message by urging the Muslim faithful to continue to live in harmony with people of other faiths and to always promote peace and unity in their communities.
