Be Fervent In Prayers For Oyebanji’s Success, Adedayo Tasks Muslims

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Hon. Adesola Gold Adedayo, has appealed to Muslim Ummah across the state to continually fortify the government of Governor Biodun Oyebanji with prayer supplications.

Adedayo said the government has bestridden the land in the last eight months with profound spirit of good governance that was already resonating across the land, saying the prayers of the Muslims faithful are required to crown his efforts with immeasurable accomplishments.

The APC chieftain said this in his congratulatory message to Muslims, on Wednesday, on the occasion of Sallah festivity.

Specifically, Adedayo commended the Muslims for their peaceful dispositions and concerned for religious tolerance being preached by Governor Oyebanji to avert unwarranted violence and bloodshed being fondly attached to religious fanaticism. 

Subsequently, the Osun-Ekiti born politician , urged Muslim adherents to always embrace the doctrines of love, peace, perseverance, sacrifice  and brotherhood, which the life of the prophet and symbol of the celebration exemplified.

Adedayo added that the embracement of the foregoing virtues by Nigerians will promote religious tolerance and rededicate Nigerians to be more committed to nation building.

He said: “Religious extremism or intolerance is not a good weapon for development, but a fertile ground  for enmity and bloodshed. 

“I appeal to our Muslim brothers to continue to promote religious tolerance in Ekiti as they have always done. You could all see the zeal being brought to governance by Governor Oyebanji. 

“We have all seen his simplicity and robust approach to good governance. We shouldn’t distract him through unnecessary religious violence. 

“However, I am particularly happy for the mien of tolerance being exhibited by adherents of various religious groups in Ekiti. They should continue in this stead.

 “I felicitate our Muslim brothers on this occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebration. May Allah continue to imbue them with energy and good health to celebrate more years in love and prosperity”.
