Education, Security, Others, My Priorities If Elected —- APC Candidate, Ojuawo

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the next year election of the House of Representatives in Ekiti South Constituency 1, comprising Ikere, Use)Orun and Ekiti South West, Air Vice Marshall, Rufus Adeniyi Ojuawo,has reemphasized that education, security and agriculture would be his main priorities.

The retired Air Vice Marshall said this while addressing journalists at a press conference in Ado-Ekiti, the State capital, where he solicited the press support towards his ambition in the area of publicity..

According to Ojuawo, “if you have good education, you will know and do what is right.” Having served nation as a military for over three decades before venturing into politics after his retirement, he promised to deploy all intellectual and financial resources to support education. Just as he also promised adequate security and empowerments for the people of his constituency if elected as a federal lawmaker.

In his word, “Education is critical in Ekiti. So, my major priority would be helping in the area of education. We have to inculcate leadership training in our youths, so that they can be patriotic. In Europe, 40 percent of their curriculum is on leadership”. 

“My second priority will be security. I am going to contribute in my own little way to the security of this country. Speaking on the security situation of Ikere- Ise and Ikere- Igbara Odo roads where several kidnappings have been recorded before now, the candidate explained that there have been busy combings in the areas mentioned to deny the perpetrators space in the areas

“The third will be empowerment in agriculture. Ekiti already has a cargo airport and if we can train our farmers to change their orientation into semi mechanized or mechanized farming, this will translate into a better income and business environment for our people”.

Ojuawo said the objective of his ambition borders on his determination to render selfless service to humanity.
