A Clarion call has been made to all Ọtun  sons and daughters both at home and in the diaspora to come home and celebrate with their loved ones. Just as they are all expected to make a positive contribution to the development of the town.

The call was made by the Chairman, Central Planning  Committee for Annual Ọtun Day Celebration, Mr. Olusesan Aina, during his meeting with the Elemosos in Ọtun Ekiti.

Mr. Aina had met with the Elemosos of the town to solicit their support towards making this year event a big difference from the previous ones.

“The annual Ọtun  day celebration has turned to Ojude Oloore Odua Celebration”. Said Mr. Aina, as he highlighted the activities lined up for the three days event which  hold between 24th and 26th December, 2022 to include; health walk, free medical check up, cultural night, fire works and fund raising for the developmental projects of the town. Adding that awards would be conferred on the living legends including posthumous.

However, the Elemosos has pledged their support. Saying they would equally mobilize and ensure that all the 24 families in the town pay their contributions.

They therefore prayed that Ọtun shall continue to move forward in Ekiti State.
