A ranking member of the House of of Representatives, Hon. Femi Bamisile, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for being fair to Ekiti State in allotment of federal appointments and allocation of laudable projects to the state.
Bamisile said Ekiti has never been this lucky since the advent of democracy in 1999, saying the All Progressives Congress-led federal government under Tinubu has demonstrated love for the state that will be reciprocated in the future election.
Bamisile, who is representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, gave the commendation, in a statement issued in Abuja, on Tuesday.
Bamisile said the most thrilling to him was the backing being given to Governor Biodun Oyebanji by the president to be able to make remarkable achievements and impacts in the lives of the citizens.
“Several times, the Governor has confessed overtly that he has been able to achieve a mileage in the areas of road construction, health, agriculture , rural development, education and in the implementation of N70,000 Minimum Wage because of the tremendous support he has been receiving from the presidency.
“This is one love every Ekiti man should respect and appreciate”, Bamisile stated.
In his rating of Tinubu’s government, Bamisile posited that it was under the current government that Ekiti produced the first Senate leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamisile, the first Senior Special Assistant on Parliamentary Matters, Hon Ibrahim Olanrewaju, several Chairmen and members of Federal Boards and parastatals, Chairmen and members of Governing Council of Universities and polytechnics, among several others.
In the area of allocation of projects, Oyebanji saluted Tinubu for swiftly assented to the bill for the establishment of University of Technology and Environmental Sciences in Iyin Ekiti, which he said would add value to education, create jobs and expand the scope of scholarship for the citizens when full operational .
He urged Ekiti citizens to continually support the government and pray for its success in all spheres of the economy.
“If you look at the records since 1999, Ekiti is experiencing the best in terms of federal appointments and federal projects under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In fact, we never had it this good.
“Apart from the fact that we have a Minister like other states, this is the first time Ekiti will produce the number three man in the Senate, the Senate Leader, and this was made possible because of the president’s backing.
“As we speak, Ekiti has SSA on Parliamentary affairs to the president, several Chairmen and members of Federal boards, commissions and agencies as well as Chairmen and members of boards of Governing Council of universities and polytechnics numbering over 20.
“This is one opportunity every Ekiti man should respect and join Governor Biodun Oyebanji in showing love, prayers and support for Mr President now and in the future.
“And I am rest assured that the President will open more doors of opportunities for Ekiti everytime opportunity beckons and these shall be appreciated as our people are grateful people”, he said.
