Agency To Partner NYSC As Govt Guarantees Safety Of Corps Members In Ekiti

This was re-echoed by the Director-General Bureau of Civic Orientation and Citizenship (BCOC), Ekiti State,  Mrs Olawuni Famuyiwa during her visit to the State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Ekiti State, Alhaji Riko Shuaibu, at the Ekiti State Orientation Camp in Ise/Emure/Orun Ekiti.

In her message during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch “A” stream 1 Orientation course for Corps members deployed to the State, Mrs  Famuyiwa emphasized the importance of upholding positive values and ethical standards by the corps members throughout their service year.

The objective of the visit to the Camp as made known by Mrs Famuyiwa was to partner NYSC in the State in sensitising Corps members on positive values and ethical conduct as the State Government, through the BCOC, aims to promote a sense of responsibility and good behaviours among the Corps members serving in Ekiti.

While acknowledging the significance of the visit which coincided with the official closing ceremony of the  2024 Batch “A” stream 1 Orientation course,  the NYSC State Coordinator, Alhaji Riko Shuaibu, thanked the Director-General of BCOC and expressed his readiness for the partnership.

The commitment of Ekiti State Government as well as the BCOC and NYSC Ekiti Chapter, demonstrated the importance placed on the well-being and ethical conduct of the Youth Corps members as the collaborative effort will undoubtedly enhance the overall experience of Corps members serving in Ekiti State and further strengthen the bond between the government and NYSC.

As the youth continue to serve their nation through the scheme, the Ekiti State Government remains dedicated to supporting and ensuring their safety, growth and positive impact on society.
