The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has formally issued expulsion certificates to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike; former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose; former National Secretary Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and eight other members removed from the party.
The documents were released following the decision of the party’s National Convention in Ibadan on November 15, where the 11 members were unanimously expelled.

Taking over leadership duties at the national secretariat in Abuja yesterday, PDP National Chairman Kabiru Tanimu Turaki confirmed that the certificates had already been dispatched to those affected.
According to Turaki, the move was intended to ease the transition of the expelled politicians into any new political parties they may wish to join, in line with Nigerian laws that prohibit dual party membership.
Explaining further, he noted that the National Convention remains the highest decision-making organ of the PDP, and its decision on the expulsions was final.
Turaki added that issuing the formal certificates would ensure the expelled members have official documentation to present when registering with other parties.
He disclosed that the certificates were sent by courier to all 11 individuals involved, completing the final step in the expulsion process.
