
The Chief Medical Director of Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, Professor Kayode Olabanji, has described the 40 days Fasting and Prayer as an opportunity for Christians to rededicate their lives to the work of God and humanity.
In his goodwill message, the CMD said the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary was the reason that enabled mankind to gain eternal life, adding that without the crucification of Jesus Christ and his resurrection, there will be no reason for the celebration.
Prof. Olabanji advised Christians community in the Hospital to always emulate Jesus Christ by showing love, kindness and hospitality to one another, the less privileged in the society and the patients who need compassion.
He also called on Christians to seize the opportunity of the season to seek the face of God in prayers for the economic revival of Ekiti State and the country in general.
In a statement by the Head, Corporate Affairs of the Hospital, Rolake Adewumi, the CMD expressed the gratitude of the Management and staff to Governor ‘Biodun Oyebanji for his unrelenting efforts at ensuring that EKSUTH is taken to the next level.
He appreciated all members of staff of the Hospital for their contributions at ensuring a better health care delivery for the citizens of the State and its environ, saying there are rooms for improvement.
Prof. Olabanji advised that people should take their health issues seriously by making general Medical Checkup a priority, noting that EKSUTH has the necessary resources to deliver quality healthcare services, and a dedicated facility for health status check.
