Oyebanji Commissions Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA Secretariat

The ultra-modern secretariat, located in Okemesi-Ekiti, was constructed and delivered by the Council Chairman, Hon. Ajibade Sunday Owolabi.

Speaking at the event, Oyebanji, represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, said the project reflected the council chairman’s commitment to inclusive growth and responsive governance at the grassroots.

The governor recalled that his administration had earlier commissioned the 13.27-kilometre Itawure–Okemesi Road, urging residents to continue supporting his government’s development efforts.

He reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to keep addressing the needs of the people through projects that directly improve their living conditions.

Oyebanji also commended Hon. Ajibade for providing an enabling environment for effective governance, describing the new complex as a major milestone in the LCDA’s history.

In his remarks, Hon. Ajibade appreciated Governor Oyebanji for his dedication to the welfare of Ekiti residents.

He noted that the new council headquarters would enhance administrative efficiency, adding that workers now have a conducive workspace that promotes productivity and innovation.

Ajibade disclosed that the secretariat has 28 offices, each with toilet facilities, 24-hour solar power, fans, office furniture, and a borehole for constant water supply.

He expressed gratitude to the governor for granting autonomy to local councils, which, he said, has allowed them to fulfill their campaign promises and deliver meaningful projects to the people.
