Senator Ned Nwoko has reacted to a viral video showing his wife, popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, appearing distressed, describing her behaviour as the result of “drug and alcohol abuse.”
In a statement and accompanying video posted on his official Instagram handle, @princenednwoko, on Sunday, the senator alleged that the actress had been struggling with substance abuse, which he said had strained their marriage.

“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drug and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem,” Nwoko wrote.
“She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety.”
Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District, claimed that Regina went on a violent rampage at their Abuja residence in his absence, allegedly assaulting staff and destroying property.
“She slapped and hit three staff in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no just cause. Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs,” he alleged.
The senator said he had offered his wife two rehabilitation options — one in Asokoro and another in Jordan to help her recovery, insisting that both facilities would limit her access to harmful substances.
He also accused some of the actress’s associates of worsening the situation, describing them as her “drug suppliers.”
“While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” he claimed.
Nwoko’s comments came hours after a video showing Regina Daniels visibly agitated and shouting during a confrontation went viral on Saturday, drawing widespread reactions on social media.
In the footage, the actress could be heard saying:
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. In my house, I am a queen. I can’t stand the violence again; it’s too much.”
Her brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, popularly known as Sammy West, had earlier accused Nwoko of assaulting the actress, vowing on Instagram to defend her.
“Anywhere a man beats a woman, whether it’s my sister or not, I will fight with my blood,” he wrote.
