The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified one of its governorship aspirants in Ekiti State, Kayode Ojo, ahead of the party’s primary election scheduled for October 27, 2025.
The party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Duro Meseko, announced the development while briefing journalists in Abuja on Thursday.

Meseko disclosed that only Governor Abiodun Oyebanji and Omolayo Oluremi were cleared by the APC National Working Committee (NWC) to participate in the forthcoming primary.
He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to conducting a transparent and credible exercise ahead of the Ekiti State governorship election, which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed for July 20, 2026.
