Moba LG APC Leaders Endorse Oyebanji for Second Term

The stakeholders described Governor Oyebanji as a pride and legendary leader, who have performed superlatively and deserve being returned for second term to complete his life-changing projects in all spheres of the economy.

The leaders also passed a vote of confidence in the leadership of Governor Oyebanji, branding him as one leader with compassion and milk of kindness, considering the way he is leading the state and establishing relationships with people of all strata.

The endorsement was moved and ratified at a meeting convened by Moba APC leaders on Tuesday, 16th April 2025, to deliberate on the progress and future direction of the Local Government under the leadership and guidance of His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO).

According to a statement released on Wednesday, the meeting, was convened by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Hon. Ibrahim Olanrewaju and the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Adesola Gold Adedayo.

It was held at the residence of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Hon. Olanrewaju and attended by critical stakeholders.

Speaking on the endorsement, Hon. Olanrewaju, emphasized the importance of unity and collective action among the stakeholders.

He passionately urged all political actors to shun divisive tendencies and remain committed to the BAO Agenda, warning that no individual should attend or participate in any meeting or gathering that does not align with the re-election vision of Governor Oyebanji.

“After extensive deliberations, the leaders of MOBA Local Government unanimously adopted His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for a second term in office. The adoption is a clear reflection of the Governor’s popularity, performance, and the confidence the people of MOBA have in his administration.

“The primary objective of the gathering was to express profound appreciation to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for his impactful leadership, transformative policies, and numerous developmental strides across Ekiti State, especially the visible and commendable projects in Moba Local Government”, he said.

Another prominent APC leader in the council and Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Gold Adesola Adedayo, who justified the endorsement, said Governor Oyebanji has succeeded in fulfilling all his electioneering promises to the people and worth reelecting.

Adedayo, who hailed from Osun Ekiti, added that giving Governor Oyebanji a second term would afford him the opportunity to advance the development of the state to a higher pedestal.

Similarly, Mr. L.A. Kolawole, fondly regarded as “Baba Leader,” also preached the gospel of unity and encouraged all leaders to stand together, prioritize the collective interest of MOBA Local Government, and avoid distractions or engagements that could undermine the common goal of sustaining good governance under BAO.

The leaders unanimously acknowledged the Governor’s genuine commitment to good governance, youth empowerment, infrastructural development, and inclusive leadership.

In furtherance of this decision, the meeting focused on strategic mobilization plans and coordination efforts to ensure total victory for BAO in MOBA Local Government during the upcoming election. The leaders pledged to work tirelessly across wards and communities to deliver resounding support for the Governor’s re-election.

Furthermore, it was resolved that all political leaders across the eleven wards of MOBA Local Government should immediately replicate this kind of strategic and unifying meeting in their respective wards, as the meeting would tend to pressing issues within their wards.

The meeting concluded on a high note with a renewed sense of purpose, unity, and commitment to the progressive ideals of the BAO-led administration.
