Osupa Hails Burna Boy for Naming Him ‘GOAT Singer’

Burna Boy, in a recent GOAT Talk session with retired tennis legend Roger Federer, mentioned Osupa as his greatest singer of all time.

Reacting in a post on X, Osupa said Burna Boy’s remarks were a great honour to him and a boost for Fuji music.

“Burna Boy’s heartfelt tribute, naming me as his GOAT singer on a global stage, is a monumental moment that celebrates the soul of Fuji music and its timeless influence,” Osupa wrote.

The Fuji maestro, also called Oba Orin (King of Music), noted that the recognition was not just personal but a celebration of Nigeria’s cultural heritage.

“I am profoundly grateful for this powerful acknowledgement from a true Afropop titan, the African Giant himself, of whom I am also a great fan. Together, we are redefining African music legacy and inspiring the world with authentic, vibrant sounds,” he added.

Osupa also appreciated fans who have continued to embrace Fuji music, while hinting that he would attend one of Burna Boy’s concerts soon to personally thank him.

“I look forward to attending one of your upcoming concerts to appreciate your God-given talents and reciprocate your genuine love and affection,” he said.

“GOAT” is an acronym for “Greatest of All Time,” a slang often used in sports and entertainment to refer to someone considered the best in their field.
