Nollywood stars, Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, have dismissed long-standing rumours of a rift between them.
Speculations had suggested the award-winning actresses and filmmakers were locked in rivalry over dominance in the Nigerian movie industry.
The pair, however, put the claims to rest after they were spotted together at the premiere of actress Wunmi Toriola’s movie alongside skit maker Kiekie.
A viral video from the event showed Akindele and Abraham in a lively mood, sharing a private chat before Akindele joined the dance floor. Kiekie later teased the duo and danced along with Akindele.
The friendly display comes shortly after Abraham publicly acknowledged that fan-driven tensions had once created friction between her and Akindele. She, however, clarified that there had never been genuine hostility between them.
