Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has appealed to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, to intervene in his case with the Federal Government.
Igboho, who visited the monarch at his Ile Oodua Palace in Ile-Ife on Saturday, sought forgiveness for his past verbal attacks on the Ooni and pleaded for assistance in clearing his name from the Department of State Services’ wanted list.

He also urged the monarch to help lift the restrictions on his bank accounts, which he said remain frozen.
The activist was declared wanted in July 2021 by the DSS over allegations of stockpiling arms and ammunition.
Speaking during the visit, Igboho described the Ooni as a father figure, stressing that he came to seek reconciliation and support.
“I want you to forgive and forget whatever wrong I have done to you. You are my father and you can’t do away with me. I know you have forgiven me going by this warm reception accorded us,” he said.
He added: “I am still on the Federal Government wanted list, and I want you to help me clear my name. Also, my account is frozen and I want you to assist me with that too.”
On the security situation in the South-West, Igboho restated his readiness to mobilise his supporters to combat criminals hiding in forests across the region.
“We will flush out all those kidnappers. We have the capacity to protect our people. Oodua’s descendants are not slaves to the Fulani. As I always tell people, Ooni is the head of all monarchs in Nigeria,” he declared.
Responding, Ooni Ogunwusi said he had forgiven Igboho and promised to support him in resolving his challenges.
“Some of you have abused me in the past, but whenever I saw your posts, I just laughed them off. I am not angry with you because I am the father of all. You are a brave man and our pride in Yorubaland,” the monarch said.
He commended Igboho’s commitment to the Yoruba cause and assured that efforts would be made to facilitate his removal from the wanted list.
“What you are fighting for is not for you alone but for Yorubaland. We are going to ensure that your name is removed from the wanted list. Let us do away with fighting; it will not bring good development to Yorubaland,” the Ooni added.
