Appeal Court Upholds Aiyedatiwa’s Election as Ondo Governor

The appellate court upheld the earlier judgment of the Ondo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which dismissed the petitions filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Mr. Agboola Ajayi.

Ajayi and his party had challenged the outcome of the governorship election, alleging irregularities and non-compliance with electoral laws.

However, both the Tribunal and the Appeal Court ruled that the election complied substantially with the provisions of the Electoral Act, and that the petitioners failed to prove their case.

With the latest judgment, Governor Aiyedatiwa’s victory at the polls has been reaffirmed by both the Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.
